Serbia is insufficiently aware and familiar with cybercrime, incidents of violation of digital privacy and cyber security. Cases are only sporadically reported through the media. But, in general, individuals are of the opinion that it all happens somewhere out there, to someone else, and these topics do not interest them until they become victims of abuse in cyberspace, which has more than real consequences in their lives. What attracts attention are child pornography and similar phenomena, while there is no awareness of other forms of cybercrime and similar incidents. The situation is no better in terms of the authority of competent authorities to implement digital surveillance or knowledge of digital privacy rights and mechanisms for their protection.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a091391 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a091391\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\" translation-block\">Personal data protection mechanisms were created and are being improved through the work of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.poverenik.rs\/sr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Commissioner<\/a> for information of public importance and personal data protection.<\/p><p class=\" translation-block\">The online platform <a href=\"https:\/\/pametnoibezbedno.gov.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smart and safe<\/a> of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications is the national contact center for the safety of children on the Internet.<\/p><p class=\" translation-block\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mit.gov.rs\/tekst\/190\/prijava-incidenta-u-oblasti-informacione-bezbednosti.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry<\/a> of information and telecommunications and the National <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cert.rs\/rs\/prijava.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CERT<\/a> have created platforms available to the public for applications incidents of violations of information security.<\/p><p class=\" translation-block\">The National CERT has created a platform <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.cert.rs\/Seguridad\/RegistrarGuest?Idioma=sr-Cyrl-RS\" target=\"_self\">For a safer click<\/a>, in order to raise the level of awareness and knowledge about security in cyberspace.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46511dd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"46511dd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Associations that make a significant contribution to raising the awareness of the general public about certain aspects of these topics:<\/p><ul><li>through the implementation of media-supported activities on digital rights and digital surveillance, personal data protection and children's safety on the Internet: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharefoundation.info\/sr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SHARE Foundation<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partners-serbia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Partners Serbia<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/csi.org.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centar for Safe Internet <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/cnzd.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Center for missing and abused children<\/a><\/li><li>through periodic reporting on digital surveillance, personal data protection and information security on their media platforms: <a href=\"https:\/\/birn.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BIRN<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.krik.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Krik<\/a><\/li><\/ul><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7c19d56 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"7c19d56\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ab988fc elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ab988fc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Professional public<\/h4>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-afefb42 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"afefb42\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The professional public lacks the understanding of what is meant by cybercrime. Employees in the IT sector do not have the necessary level of knowledge about borderline cases between information security breaches and criminal offences. On the other hand, jurists (lawyers, prosecutors, judges, etc.) cannot apply the law (which is sometimes not even adequate) if they do not make an additional effort to understand the technical framework of criminal acts covered by the term cybercrime, which is foreign and unattractive to them. Also, there is insufficient interest among lawyers for the protection of digital privacy in relation to the powers of competent state authorities and digital surveillance in general.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-764c0ca elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"764c0ca\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A significant contribution to monitoring the state of information security and detecting security breaches is made by:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.it-klinika.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IT klinika<\/a><\/li><li>forum <a href=\"https:\/\/bezbedanbalkan.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bezbedan Balkan<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a9d9faf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a9d9faf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Associations that contribute to connecting professions of different profiles for the purpose of exchanging experiences and knowledge:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/sajberbezbednost.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cybersecurity Network Foundation<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/esigurnost.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eSecurity<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a590842 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"a590842\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-de6201e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"de6201e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Academia<\/h4>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-80a6f5d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"80a6f5d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the scientific community, there is a certain number of research papers on cybercrime in general, but there is a lack of research on the forms, causes, and consequences of cybercrime, especially in Serbia. Also, only a few works are dedicated to digital investigation, that is, the authorities to collect electronic evidence, and digital forensics, while the implementation of such measures and actions carries with it a significant risk for human rights, especially for digital privacy. Insufficient attention has also been paid to the study of digital surveillance and violations\/threats to digital privacy - especially borderline cases that enter the criminal zone. Cyber security incidents are not discussed by the scientific community.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7ff2df7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"7ff2df7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3fabf424 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3fabf424\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">CCRS will contribute to the research and awareness of cybercrime, digital surveillance\/privacy, and cybersecurity in
